Just picked up a copy of the October UK Rhythm mag with a big feature on Josh and his "dream gig " with Sting....haven't read it yet - this just a heads-up for all the Brits here, and if it's interesting enough, maybe we can figure out a way to get it online for everybody!

Funny enough, I just did a gig and the soundman happened to know Josh, did sound for him when he was with the Vandals and told me something pretty crazy: "Oh yeah I know Josh. I remember when he used to barbecue his drums in his back yard. DW's too. Crazy guy."

I also know a few guys who know Josh, and everone tells me that he is a typically hollywood guy with a huge ego... I also heard he can be kind of an ass sometimes...but hey, I never met him...I don't get why he is the big guy right now. I never heard him play live in a situation like the baked porato with free music. Recordings can be altered and escpecially the pop stuff he is dong...you play the same song over and oer in pop music...don't get me wrong... I love pop music but I dont' think someone s a great drummer, only beacuse he has a lot of gigs. That only shows how good you can kiss butt and how many people you know. A great drummer is some one who you can recognize even on a pop recording like Jeff or Steve. The Josh Freese recordings sound like 1000 other drummers in L.A. .
Hm...I don't know...maybe I just don't like him because I heard a lot of bad stuff about him...
